New system for instant packaging prototypes

Published: 8-Dec-2010

The sister company of Curtis Packaging, 3D Creative Packaging, launched a new service at the recent Packaging Innovations London 2010 show that allows for the quick and cost-effective creation of prototypes, eliminating the need for expensive hand-made mock-ups.

The 3D system encompasses single packs, a selection of designs or even whole product ranges and creates life-like packaging for consumer testing, retailer demonstration, logistics and distribution to ensure that the final choice fits the bill.

Prototypes may be created in a range of materials, designs and print allowing for every aspect of the packaging to be visualised in full.

Steve Malett, 3D’s director commented: “Most people are put off prototypes because of the high cost of producing one-offs or short runs, but with our state of the art equipment and experience the service is now far more affordable than people may think.”
