The German fragrance house has revealed its latest offering fragrance for men and women

German fragrance house 4711 (Mäurer & Wirtz) has unveiled its latest offering - WUNDERWASSER - in both female and male varieties.

Inspired by the concept of 'wonder', the company describes the idea behind the fragrances: 'Wonders are something very special. Wonders lie in the eye of the beholder. They allow us to step away from reality and marvel as we forget everything around us and immerse ourselves in an intense, very personal moment.' The new twin fragrance is aimed at consumers aged from 20 to 40: 'women and men who are open for new and unexpected experiences'.

The female scent opens with refreshing, reviving notes composed around energetic, zesty pomelo, Tunisian neroli and lentisque - the blossom of the pistachio tree, tempered by gentle lotus blossom. At its heart is the contrast of pink pepper, honey and powdery iris, which gradually fades into a base rounded by sandalwood and a hint of vanilla with soft musk.

The male version opens with mandarin, bergamot and lemon, paired with the spice of black pepper from Madagascar. The heart is composed of pure lavender, star anise, iris butter and cistus. It has a base of patchouli, teak and sandalwood, with traces of driftwood and tonka bean.

Created by designer Peter Schmidt, the bottles are a combination of cool glass and multi-hued shades of blue. The women's fragrance bottle has an soft, rounded shape, 'like a drop of water', while the men's bottle in swirling dark blue hues reflecting the 'ocean's depths'.
