This is the latest initiative implemented by the brand in an effort to move into the fast-beauty category

Direct-selling beauty brand Avon has announced a new global training platform for its Representatives.

The online initiative, in partnership with Fuse Universal, will deliver content including skin care science, marketing and sales skills, and beauty tutorials.

The collaboration is the brand’s latest venture as it makes efforts to digitalise its business, accelerate sales and work towards becoming a fast-beauty brand.

It also hopes the new training programme will help retain its Representatives.

Miguel Fernandez, President of Global Sales for the brand, said: “Our Avon beauty entrepreneurs are the heart of our business and it’s crucial that we provide them with digital and mobile-first tools to open up their potential learning and earning power.

“This is a core element of Avon’s transformation plan, and as we have recently reported, we’re seeing early signs of the positive impact new digital tools and increased training can have on our Representatives’ sales.”

He continued: “We are opening up Avon to better serve our customers and support our Representatives.”

The platform, with Fuse Universal, has already been piloted in South African and will now roll out to Avon’s key markets in 2019, starting with the UK and South America.

Fuse’s founder and CEO Steve Dineen added: “Avon beauty entrepreneurs need to be armed with the latest knowledge on products and services, and this partnership will help power Avon’s transformation, with new ways of working that can be executed with speed and agility.”
