Fashion label Badgley Mischka has announced the release of a new scent to celebrate 30 years in business.

Formulated in collaboration with TPR Holdings, the new Badgley Mischka edp (from US$28) is set to launch on the brand’s site this October, with an exclusive release at Dillard’s before launching across the US from December.

The scent is said to be a reflection of designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka’s love for Hollywood in the 40s.

“Everything we do has a thread of glamour to it, when designing, we strive to make women look and feel beautiful,” said Badgley.

Mischka added: “Perfume is a more intimate, yet subtle, way of achieving that, a fragrance can create a mood, inspire confidence and, in an instant, transform the way a woman looks and feels.”

Created by perfumer Richard Herpin, the fragrance features magnolia and amber tones, with a touch of musk, inspired by the magnolia trees Badgley and Mischka have on their property.

Badgley added: “The magnolia trees in our backyard seem to usher in the spring season year after year.

“Many of our collections have been dreamt up while inhaling that intoxicating scent, this fragrance brings those memories to me.”
