The Global Brand President for Jo Malone London and Darphin Paris, Jean-Guillaume Trottier, has exited the business.

The long-term executive – whose career spans almost two decades – will leave the business on 15 April.

Trottier alone is said to have made the decision.

Parent company Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) made the announcement in a statement to colleagues, which was revealed on social media by Estée Laundry, a whistleblower for the cosmetics industry.

Trottier joined the global conglomerate in 2004 as Brand Manager for MAC, the statement said.

In this position he helped to boost the brand’s equity and gave ‘credibility’ to the brand, establishing a name amongst fashion labels.

Four years later, he became MAC’s General Manager, EMEA & UK.

It was in 2012 that Trottier joined the Jo Malone London franchise, where he served as Global General Manager for four years.

In 2016, he became the fragrance name’s Global President, before moving into the Global Brand President role in 2018.

ELC has not made an official announcement regarding Trottier’s exit.
