Diesel Fragrances has kicked off the campaign for its latest fragrance alongside footballer and ambassador Neymar Jr, exploring what it means to be brave.
To promote its Spirit of the Brave scent, the L'Oreal-licensed brand has released a new video starring Neymar Jr, in which he urges consumers to “play with their fears”.
Created by Canadian director and photographer Mark Zibert, the clip depicts a series of key events in the Brazilian sports star's life through his more than 70 tattoos, which are said to reveal his personality as well as telling his story.
Through a voiceover, the 27-year-old encourages consumers to face their fears, to not take themselves too seriously and to never stop playing.
In a reflection of this, the scent's bottle – co-created by the Paris Saint-Germain forward – is shaped like a fist and displays the lion tattoo on his hand, said to represent self-confidence and bravery.
Meanwhile, the fragrance itself features top notes of bergamot and galbanum, middle notes of cypress and fir and a base of labnadum and tonka bean.
Released to coinicide with the 10th anniversary of Diesel's flagship Only The Brave fragrance, the campaign is now live on social media in more than 40 countries including France, Italy, the UK, Germany, the US and Brazil.
