Eurofragance acquires majority stake in Fragrance Design

Fragrance Design by Eurofragance will help Eurofragance strengthen its position in the US market

Eurofragance, the fragrance company, is entering the US by acquiring a majority share in Fragrance Design, based in Atlanta.

The acquisition is expected to give Eurofragance a firmer foothold on the US continent and strengthen its position in the body care and household sectors.

Fragrance Design by Eurofragance will keep its existing workforce, and add new members of staff.

Eurofragance, which already operates in the US market through a plant and creative centre in Mexico, is now strengthening its position the US.

Eurofragance will provide the necessary financing and human resources to ensure growth and development.

This recent acquisition includes 1,200sqm of facilities equipped with modern technologies and an extensive fragrance library, which will join Eurofragance’s current range.

William L. Hamilton, the founder of Fragrance Design, is staying on as a minority shareholder and general manager. He will work with the Eurofragance management team to implement a five-year expansion plan in the US.

 

Eurofragance: 'Capturing sensations' since 1990

 

Eurofragance is an international company of a family-run origin, devoted to the design and production of fragrances for perfumery, personal and home care products.

It was created in 1990 with the slogan 'Capturing sensations'.

Eurofragance, with headquarters in Barcelona, has a local presence in more than 60 countries and sells in five continents. Its subsidiaries are located in Turkey, Mexico, Dubai and Singapore, and it has production plants in Barcelona, Mexico DF and Singapore.

It also has exclusive distribution in the Philippines. In 2016, the company invoiced €68.8m and currently employs more than 250 professionals.

Eurofragance's social responsibility covers social and environmental projects, work-life balance policies for its employees, and research projects on diseases such as cancer or Alzheimer's.

Furthermore, the company collaborates with local institutions and organisations on aid projects for disadvantaged people at risk of social exclusion.
