IKW outlines winners and losers
Body care cosmetics have maintained their market position in Germany through 2010, according to industry association IKW. Sales were around €12.8bn and showed modest growth.
There were downturns in sales of some hair and skin care lines but a strongly positive increase in sales of deodorants, women's fragrance, men's cosmetics and make-up products.
IKW expects some growth in 2011 of 0.5-1.5%.
