Harrods’ Chief Marketing Officer Amanda Hill has quit after just 18 months in the role.
The former L’Oréal Brand Manager said she took the decision in order to rejoin her family in the US.
She is expected to step down in November.
Hill joined the luxury retailer in 2018 from A+E Networks and has been responsible for ensuring its marketing, insight and creative content is at the centre of the retailer's strategy.
Harrods credited Hill for building a "strong leadership team" across its marketing and communications, editorial and visual merchandising divisions.
In a statement, it said: "Harrods wants to thank her for her hard work and wishes her best of luck in her new adventure Stateside."
The department store has started the process of replacing Hill.
