Luxury French fashion and beauty brand Kenzo has revealed a new edp to add to its line-up.

Master perfumer Alberto Morillas, Marie Salamagne and Fabrice Pellegrin used the poppy flower as the focal point for its new Flower By Kenzo Eau De Vie fragrance (from £41).

Blended with ginger, neroli bigarade essence, orange blossom, Bulgarian rose absolute and tonka bean absolute, the perfumers wanted to create a contrasting scent with floral and musk.

“Every ingredient is a chapter in its own right,” said Pellegrin.

“The fragrance has its own rhythm, a three-beat tempo: ginger, orange blossom, tonka bean.”

Meanwhile, the advertising campaign is set in San Fransisco, US, and fronted by south Korean actress Tae-Ri Kim.

The scent will be available across the UK from 4 February.
