Australia's Showpony specialises in premium, ethically-sourced hair extensions and accessories
Kevin Murphy Group has acquired Australian hair extensions company Showpony.
Showpony specialises in premium hair extensions and accessories for consumers and industry professionals.
It claims to offer a variety of natural looking colours, lengths and application methods suited to people of all ages and hair types.
It uses only ethically-sourced hair with a quality assurance process.
“We believe Kevin Murphy’s innovation, creativity and inclusiveness of consumers and professionals ties in perfectly with what we are so passionately working towards achieving here at Showpony,” said Showpony founder and Global President Stephanie Mason.
“Being a part of the Kevin Murphy Group will truly give us our wings as a global company and it only makes sense to align with a brand that holds sustainability, quality, and education as highly as we do.”
Mason added that Showpony has worked “alongside and in collaboration with the Kevin Murphy team for many years at major trade events, Fashion Weeks and education sessions”.
“The partnership will enable us to enhance our world-class hair extension education offerings, dedicated customer service support, innovative technologies and premium product developments.”

Showpony is distributed in the UK by Sweet Squared.
Demand for wigs, toppers and hair extensions is growing globally, with the $5.8bn market predicted to increase at a 13% CAGR to 2026, according to Arizton.
