The cosmetics giant moves into its new offices in Manhatten's West Side

L’OréaL USA has announced the official move of its employees to its new headquarters located in Manhatten’s West Side, New York.

The office building at 10 Hudson Yards is the largest private development to have been carried out in New York City. More than 1,000 L’Oréal USA employees will occupy ten floors spanning over 400,000sqft. Until today, when L’Oréal officially moved offices, it had spent nearly 60 years in offices in Midtown Manhatten.

Employees will be able to take advantage of a 4,000sqft terrace with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Hudson River, a juice and coffee bar, company store, nail saon, concierge and a wellness suite with four ‘mother’s rooms’ and two meditation rooms.

As well as the main Hudson Yards location, approximately 150 employees in creative roles have relocated to the nearby Terminal Stores building, a remodelled West Chelsea warehouse complex.

The move is said to represent a major shift for L’Oréal USA as it enters a new era of innovation. Some of its new neighbours include start-ups such as Uber, Intersection and Sidewalk Labs. The office will house teams working on various L’Oréal USA brands including essie, Lancôme, Redken, Maybelling and Garnier.
