Stephen SantaBarbara’s appointment as COO comes after Lady Gaga rebranded her company’s brand image and production formulation

Lady Gaga’s prestige beauty brand Haus Labs has appointed Stephen SantaBarbara as its new Chief Operating Officer.

SantaBarbara will forecast demand for skus, manage costs and inventory and source high quality finished products in the new role.

He joins the pop star's cosmetics brand alongside a host of new team members, including four new Vice Presidents and two new Senior Directors.

SantaBarbara has previously held roles at both Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) and LVMH.

At ELC SantaBarbara was responsible for the brand’s supply chain, handling clients such as MAC, Clinique and Tom Ford Beauty.

After leaving ELC in April 2021, SantaBarara joined a start-up hair service company and began Delmichael LLC, a supply chain/operations consulting company.

"It is a privilege to be working alongside the beauty and retail veterans on the Haus Labs team, and grow alongside this innovative brand,” said SantaBarbara.

“With the recent groundbreaking, science-backed launches, I look forward to ensuring our supplies live up to the high quality our consumers know us for, and keep products on a steady supply chain so buyers always have access to the products they are looking for."

SantaBarbara’s appointment comes after the ‘Poker Face’ singer rebranded her company’s name from Haus Laboratories and revamped her product formulations in July.

Tapping into the ‘clean’ beauty movement, her artistry make-up products are said to be blended with potent and innovative ingredients that are kind to the skin.

The seven new product categories include all over paints, gel-powder bronzers, highlighters, lip oils, lip crayons, eco gel pencil eyeliners and brow pencils.

Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, initially launched the brand in 2019, and became the first beauty entrepreneur to ink a beauty-exclusive deal with Amazon.

Haus Labs has now rejoined the market with its own DTC website, hauslabs.com, and is stocked exclusively with LVMH-owned beauty retailer Sephora.
