Luxury Italian fragrance brand Xerjoff celebrates Russian literature with new launch

The new genderless perfume takes its name from Russian poet and novelist Aleksander Pushkin and his short story Pikovaya Dama

Luxury Italian fragrance brand Xerjoff has released a new genderless scent.

The Pikovaya Dama (from £330) scent is named after Russian poet and novelist Aleksander Pushkin’s short story.

Translated The Queen of Spades tells the story of human greed with supernatural elements and was first published in 1833.

Pikovaya Dama has been added to the brand’s 17/17 Murano collection, featuring Elle, Richwood, XXY, Homme, Irisss and Damarose, which have all been inspired by minerals and semi-precious stones.

Xerjoff was founded by Sergio Momo who wanted to create luxurious fragrances an affluent clientele.

The brand sells fragrances that range in price from £135 to £30,000 and are blended in Grasse, Spain and Italy.

The Pikovaya Dama fragrance is available exclusively at Harrods.
