Retailer The Perfume Shop reports strongest ever Mother’s Day sales since 2019
March saw over 2,300 bottles engraved and 38,000 personalised ribbons sold by the British retailer
The most popular fragrances sold this Mother’s Day have been revealed.
Despite recent launches from brands including fragrance house Creed and Dolce & Gabbana, Coco Mademoiselle, by beauty and fashion house Chanel, claimed top spot as the most popular fragrance this Mother’s Day.
The iconic scent was followed closely by Marc Jacobs Daisy and Carolina Herrera Good Girl in second and third place respectively.
British retailer The Perfume Shop reported its strongest ever Mother’s Day sales revealing it sold 186,000 bottles of scent in the two weeks leading up to Mother’s Day.
Sales were also up 15% versus 2019 sales.
In store and online retail sales were boosted 23% during the month leading up to Mother’s Day compared with the same period in 2019, with favourites including Lancôme La Vie Est Belle.
With in-store and online services available to shoppers, March saw over 2,300 bottles engraved and 38,000 personalised ribbons sold.
“We know our customers always love spoiling their Mums with perfume and this Mother’s Day was no exception,” said Andrea Rickard, Trading Director at The Perfume Shop.
“With so many fantastic new launches in the last few months, there’s been more choice than ever.”
Fragrance has seen a steady sales increase since the pandemic with the category claiming the top spot over the Christmas period, as sales soared by 53% and 31% compared with 2020 and 2019 respectively.
