As well as novel ingredients and natural personal care market trends, 2017’s edition of the North American Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will also focus on sustainable packaging.
Located in New York City, the summit will take place on 3-5 May.
Although natural ingredients are now widely used in cosmetics and personal care products, there are concerns about long-term development as competition for agricultural land rises in the future, putting a strain on plant-based ingredients. The event will discover what green sources are emerging for cosmetic ingredients, as well as developments occurring in sustainable processing and extraction methods.
This year, the North American Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will expand its focus to include the ways in which companies can reduce the environmental impact of their packaging, encompassing developments in eco-design and sustainable materials.
Organized by Ecovia Intelligence, formerly known as Organic Monitor, the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit has been bringing together key stakeholders to debate sustainability in the beauty industry for eight years.
