B Corp is said to be a natural fit for the private label cosmetic manufacturing firm, whose B Corp journey took 18 months
B Corp is said to be a natural fit for Orean and for many of the brands that it works with and supports.
“Over the past ten years we’ve defined and refined our mission statement to provide the most desirable contract manufacturing experience to our staff, to our customers and to our suppliers,” said Dan Williams, Managing Director and CEO of Orean.
“What’s become apparent is how aligned we are with B Corp, so we’ve been encouraged to go down that path.
“It’s been 1.5 years in the making, but I’m now delighted to announce that we’ve been recognised as a B Corp business.”
B Corp is a certification that meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
“We’ve gone through a quite intense but very rigorous assessment,” explained Laura Kirkbride, Orean’s Technical Director.
“It didn’t just look at how eco are we, ‘what are we doing from an energy input perspective’, for example, or ‘what welfare package do we have for our staff’.
“It covered all aspects of the business – a really in depth look at what we’re doing.”
She added: “We’re excited to be part of the movement.”
