The British supplement brand has plans to become a plastic-free company by the end of 2020

British supplement brand Rejuvenated has unveiled its first compostable packaging.

Set to launch later this year, consumers will be able to purchase Collagen Shots, a powder skin care supplement drink, in a ‘bio-pouch’.

“At Rejuvenated we feel passionately about reducing the environmental impact we make to the planet,” said Kathryn Danzey, founder of Rejuvenated.

“This starts with how we locate our products, transport them and our final packaging. Our goal is to be plastic-free by the end of 2020.”

According to Rejuvenated, the eco-friendly packaging is suitable for home composting as the pouch meets the Vinçotte OK Compost’s certification requirements.

To coincide with its green initiatives, the indie brand has removed its plastic scoops from the supplement drinks after finding that 93% of its customers opposed the tool.

Shoppers can now purchase a metal equivalent for £2 via rejuvenated.com
