The new SleeverMakeup product for cosmetic product packaging incorporates the shrinksleeve production process

Sleever International, a specialist in thin film technology for advance packaging, has entered the cosmetic market with SleeverMakeup - a new product that the company says 'brings together all the benefits sought by make-up manufacturers in order to distinguish their products on shelves'.

It combines a new PET film (the SI-C-PET/KG050), a new combinatorial printing platform and the new SleeverLogicpak LPK 80 equipment, and suits the performance requirements of the sleeve application machines. It can cover complex shapes 360° round the entire height, and offers a controlled 'tearability' for an optimised opening of the product.

The high quality printing technology provides legibility as well as an accurate reproduction of all colour shades in order to facilitate consumer choice. SleeverMakeup also gives access to a wide range of special effects, including metallic, silver, golden, pearly, iridescent and matte, and complies with the flexibility requirements of manufacturers (multi-product and test series production).

Through the company's experience of the shrinksleeve production process (film manufacturing and processing, sleeve application), Sleever provides make-up manufacturers with a fully operational turnkey solution, allowing the horizontal application and shrinking of sleeves on small product packaging such as pencils, lipsticks and mascaras, with production outputs up to 80 items per minute.
