All applications before 30 June 2018 will be considered for 1st tier membership, offering additional benefits

The Society for Functional Nanomaterials (FNM) is calling for new members to join its group.

The group was founded by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Hosokawa Micron Limited and Feedwater Limited UK, and launched in September 2017.

FNM seeks to promote the benefits of nano-materials and their development as well as create partnership opportunities through a network of individuals and businesses.

“One of the main reasons for slow development of nano-science in real-life applications is a lack of understanding and collaboration between industry and academia,” said Dr Tapas Sen, Reader in Nano-materials Chemistry at UCLan’s School of Physical Sciences and Computing.

“As a member of the society you become part of an exciting and innovative community with a common passion for driving developments in functional nano-materials.”

New members will be able to gain access to details of current projects and ‘industrial speed dating’ where members can seek assistance with projects.

They will also benefit from reduced-rate registration fees for mini-conferences, international events, workshops and funding news.

Potential members can contacit the society via info@societyFNM.org or visit societyfnm.org.
