Cleaver launches personal mini drybath

Laboratory equipment specialist Cleaver Scientific has launched a personal mini drybath, claimed to boast the smallest footprint of any presently available on the market. The microBlock, which has a 15cm x 10cm footprint and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, is said to be ideal for use in laboratories where bench space is limited.

The device features digital control in 0.1°C increments of temperatures ranging from ambient 5°C to 80°C and is accurate to within ± 0.5°C. Six interchangeable block configurations are available for 0.2ml PCR tubes and strips as well as tubes of 0.5ml, 1.5ml, 2ml, 15ml and 50ml in size.

Due to its small size and minimal heating area the microBlock also uses less energy than larger dry block units.
