“Many people think that tanning is a bit of a palaver but you don’t have to do everything at once. She\'s right – with a bit of forward thinking and practice, anyone can achieve a great self tan at home. All that\'s needed is some carefully planned prep time and an evening set aside for application to get bronzed to perfection. First things first: hair removal. Any hair removal to parts of the body to be tanned needs to be completed at least 24 hours before applying tan. This is in order to give the freshly plucked pores ample time to close rather than becoming clogged with product, resulting in little black \'dots\' over the skin. It\'s also a good idea to give skin a chance to recover from any rashes and irritation associated with shaving and waxing. At this prep stage, James Harknett, ambassador for Sienna X, advises removing traces of old self tan using a hot flannel for stubborn remnants, to ensure a clean canvas....
