Lip Hydrating Study
A study was developed to evaluate the hydrating power and the volumizing effect of Orgasol® Hydra+ when used in lip-gloss formulation. The results demonstrated that Orgasol® Hydra+ has volumizing, hydrating and smoothing effects on lips. The volumizing effect of the lip-gloss has been quantified by calculation after image analysis on height of the superior and inferior lip, length of the labial rhyme, and angle between the superior and inferior lip. The hydrating effect evaluation is based on skin moisture measurements by corneometry. Lastly, the smoothing effect on lips was measured by Visioscan, a camera used for two in-vivo analysis of skin surface.
