Expects to double proprietary product sales


Cosmetics ingredients supplier Unipex has bought Lucas Meyer Cosmetics, a leading reference for phospholipids. In acquiring the Paris-based company, Unipex expects to double its proprietary product sales and provide greater formulation support and resources worldwide.

“This acquisition represents an exciting move forward and will strengthen our position in the industry,” commented Patrice Barthelmes, ceo of Unipex. “We will now have a wider offering of sophisticated and highly innovative products and services for our customers worldwide, widening our portfolio of active ingredients, delivery systems and natural functional ingredients to name a few.”

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics’ co-owners Jean-Pierre Arnaud and Eric Calmon will continue to drive the business.
