Germany’s women’s fragrance market did not exactly bloom and blossom last year. According to industry association IKW, the sector registered a slender rise of 1.5% to €1.067bn in 2015. And sales figures from market researcher IRI Germany are no better: overall the women’s fragrance sector dipped 0.5% to €952.934m in 2015 while volume only managed a 0.9% increase to 37.362m units. Taking a closer look at the different fragrance formats, EdPs were yet again the most popular format, and these posted some much brighter results, growing 4.9% to €550.525m and an even more impressive 10% to 17.872m in volume.
