Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) has called in luxury French design agency Appartement 103 to create its new Mon Paris scent packaging.

The limited edition special release coffret prestige gift box is said to depict the brand’s image as well as a celebration of the fragrance.

Housed in a pale pink box, similar to the fragrance and its accompanying products, the folded carton has been designed to highlight the box’s bowtie and attract customers' attention on-shelf.

Meanwhile, the iridescent folded paper and its textile inspired pattern emphasise the haute couture positioning of the brand’s fashion house.

Established in 2012 by designers Julien Zylbermann and Marc Savary, who now serve as its Creative Directors, Appartement 103 is centred around their creative vision.

The name was inspired by their student apartment when they first started designing; now the business is based on Paris’ Rue La Fayette.

As well as packaging design, the brand offers consultations for brand strategy, merchandising and brand identity.

The agency has formerly partnered with French luxury beauty brand Lancôme.

YSL’s fragrance is now available from Boots stores and online via yslbeauty.co.uk.
