In the plastic tube category, fellow German company Tubex Rangendingen came top for its tube featuring a matte finish body and contrasting high gloss cap, while Swiss manufacturer Obrist took the award in the prototype category for its Alu-Digital-Foil-Tube, which can be reproduced on a thin plastic film of PET or PP.

Commenting on the awards, etma secretary general, Gregor Spengler said: “Even during economically difficult times the member companies have obviously continued to further develop the packaging material intensively and have invested sustainably in the future of the tube. That is very encouraging for me and sends a clear signal to the European packaging market.”
