The new ghd gold styler features dual-zone technology and heats up in just 25 seconds
ghd has announced the release of its latest styler.
The ghd gold (£139) will be available from salons and departments stores across the UK and online from 19 February.
The new styler features dual-zone technology as opposed to the single sensor most other ghd stylers have; this maintains a safe heat for hair at a consistent 185 °C.
Extra features on the new styler include: protective plate guards for safe storage even on the move, a 2.7 metre cable, two years warranty and a sleep mode that switches the device off after 30 minutes of not being used.
Adam Reed, ghd’s global ambassador, said: “We are bringing straight hair back for 2018. But in a very modern way.
“The ghd gold styler glides through the hair, delivering a constant safer-for-hair heat of 185 degrees to ensure hair is perfectly styled but is not damaged.”
ghd Chief Technology Officer Dr Tim Moore added: “The dual zone sensors mean there’s no sudden surge or drop in temperature - which is detrimental to hair health and styling results.”
