This year’s in-cosmetics Global show lands in Excel London with three packed days of Marketing Trends presentations from the world’s leading beauty research companies and consultancies. This year’s in-cosmetics show focus will be on sustainability with presentations and a roundtable discussion taking place in the Marketing Trends theatre.

In addition, hot topics for discussion include emerging beauty trends from Asia, how to operate in the fast-moving world of digital, advice on how the beauty industry can move forward after Brexit and an analysis on trends in halal beauty.

An Overview

Nicholas Micallef, Senior Industry Analyst – Beauty and Personal Care at Euromonitor International, will begin by describing the current landscape for global beauty set against the challenging conditions of economic volatility and shifting consumption patterns. He will discuss the rise of the ‘green’ and health-conscious consumer, and how beauty innovation is reflecting consumer demand for holistic beauty, as well as products that offer cosmetic benefits, sensorial features and lifestyle elements.

On day two, Charlotte Libby, Senior Beauty Analyst at Mintel, will provide details on Mintel’s key beauty trend predictions and their likely impact on the industry in 2017.

The global beauty industry is waiting to hear how the UK will implement its decision to leave the European Union. A special roundtable discussion, hosted by the CTPA, will provide information on Brexit and lead an expert panel on the implications. Moderator Dr Emma Meredith, Director of Science at CTPA, will lead the discussion by the expert panel, which includes Dr Chris Flower, Director-General at CTPA and Olivia Santoni, Head of Regulatory & International Services at CTPA. They will consider the key challenges and insights into current political thinking and give an insight into how the CTPA is responding to challenges and how it is planning for the future.
