Nocibé appoints Pierre Aoun as Director

Aoun takes over from Isabelle Parize

Nocibé has appointed Pierre Aoun (pictured right), 49, as Director of the Nocibé group. He takes over from Isabelle Parize, who has become President of parent company the Douglas group. Aoun has worked with Nocibé since 2012 and has extensive expertise in developing networks of stores.

In his new role, according to Nocibé, Aoun will be tasked with strengthening the position of the group as a flagship of French perfumery, pursuing the company’s omni-channel strategy and supporting the diversification of the brand while remaining true to its roots Founded in 1984, Nocibé was originally inspired by and named after the island of Nosy Be in Madagascar. The common perfume ingredient ylang ylang is also produced on the island.

Aoun was educated at the École Supèrieure de Commerce in Paris. He began his career with the Auchan supermarket chain before joining camera retailer FNAC in 1992, first as regional manager, then as deputy network director. In September 1998, Aoun joined textile and uniform supply company Elis as Director of several key accounts. He rose to the role of Commercial Director.

In 2001, Aoun joined children’s clothing brand Petit Bateau, beoming its Retail Director. He led and managed the brand’s distribution network in France and Benelux. In 2005 Aoun was appointed Commercial and Operating Director of previous clothing brand Etam Lingerie for France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Aoun remained with Etam until he joined Nocibé in February 2012 as Commercial Director. In July 2014, he became the beauty company’s Deputy Director General for Trade and Development.

Isabelle Parize, 58, is a graduate of the business school ESCP Europe and began her career at Procter & Gamble, where she spent 13 years. She subsequently held positions at Quest and Henkel as well as Sofipost and and French TV channel Canal + before joining Nocibé. She became Director General of Douglas perfumeries in October 2014, after the amalgamation of the two companies.
