The premier global event for cosmetic science gathered nearly 1,300 leading scientists and researchers from 28 countries and regions to explore cutting-edge industry technologies.
Representing the Opal Cosmetics Group, a delegation including R&D Director Esther Ip, R&D Efficacy Review Manager Xing Yang, and R&D Group Leader Cassie Feng participated in the congress as part of the 60-member China Society of Cosmetic Chemists (China SCC).
Marking the company's debut, the group contributed two scientific posters and furthered its commitment to international scientific exchange through a series of in-depth inspections.
Spotlight on Scientific Breakthroughs
The Group's debut was highlighted by two significant research studies that attracted notable interest from the international scientific community:
- “Efficacy Study of a New Composition with the Effect of Improving the Appearance of Scars and Stretch Marks.” This study focused on a compound body oil formulated with Safflower Seed Oil and derivatives of Vitamins A and E. Clinical results confirmed that the composition significantly improves the appearance of scars and stretch marks, while also enhancing skin elasticity and hydration with an excellent safety profile.
- “Relationship between Scalp Barrier Function and Transepidermal Water Loss.” In a second study, the group established a critical link between scalp barrier function and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). By demonstrating that problem areas are directly correlated with a weakened barrier, this research provides a new, scientific roadmap for developing targeted solutions for scalp care.
Together, these findings underscore Opal Cosmetics Group's commitment to pioneering, evidence-based innovation in both skincare and haircare.
A Strategic Step Forward
This successful international debut elevates the Opal Cosmetics Group's profile within the global cosmetic science community and serves as a bridge for the wider Chinese cosmetics industry to connect with premium international resources.
"Looking ahead, we will continue to place scientific innovation at the core of our strategy," said Esther Ip, R&D Director of Opal Cosmetics Group.
"We are committed to deepening our international partnerships and contributing to the advancement of global beauty technology."
