Puig sales jump 11%

2012 results boosted by Paco Rabanne fragrance license


The Spanish perfumes and fashion group Puig has posted an 11% rise in 2012 sales to €1.5bn with net profits increasing 12% to €173m. Growth has been attributed in particular to Paco Rabanne's fragrance master brand One Million.

Puig has increased its market share worldwide over the past four years in selective perfumery from 5.1% in 2007 to 7.6% in 2011. However, for 2013 as a whole the company expects sales to slow in the wake of European market weakness.
