PZ Cussons unveils Innovation Centre

Imperial Leather and Carex manufacturer PZ Cussons has opened a £26m centre of excellence in the north of England to coincide with its 125th anniversary. The Innovation Centre, based in Agecroft, Salford, houses the company’s R&D facilities as well as its fragrance and liquids manufacturing businesses and has the capacity to house a total of 156 staff and approximately 800 ingredients.

“This investment in both manufacturing and research and development will be our centre of excellence for global personal wash,” commented PZ Cussons chairman Anthony Green at the opening. ”As such it reflects the group’s confidence both in the quality and dedication of our staff and in the economy of the north west of England as a whole.”

To celebrate its anniversary, PZ Cussons has also launched a programme of events in Manchester, from 2-9 July.
