Revlon Q2 results jump 7.2%

Strong growth in all markets particularly Asia


Revlon has announced second quarter net sales of $351.2m, an increase of 7.2% on the same period in 2010. Operating income rose from $47.3m to $47.8m, while net income was put at $6.5m, or $0.12 per diluted share.

Growth was particularly strong in the Asia Pacific region, which saw a net sales growth of 20.1% to $58.5m, compared to $48.7m for the second quarter last year.

In the US, net sales were $194.9m, an increase of 8.7%, while in Latin America sales grew to $26.3m, a jump of 8.4%. Net sales growth in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region was a little more subdued, up just 3.6% to $52m.
