Rexam Personal Care has partnered in the creation of a new book charting the history of lipstick and its impact on consumers.
Rexam Personal Care has partnered in the creation of a new book charting the history of lipstick and its impact on consumers.
Levres de Luxe, written by Jean-Marie Martin-Hattenberg features photographs and commentary in English and French on the evolution of lipstick, as well as anecdotes from make-up and design experts.
The book highlights the importance of packaging design in the overall development of lipstick products, and notes that modern processes such as laser technology, plastic injection and new surface treatments help brands have greater stand out appeal on shelf.
“The success of lipstick products has always been as a result of the linkage between innovative technology and consumer needs – whether those existed in the early days of mankind, or this very week,” commented Misha Riveros-Jacobson, md, Rexam Personal Care.
