Russell Tanguay, Director of Warrants and Communications at The Royal Warrant Holders Association shares his insight

What is a Royal Warrant?
A Warrant is a command or a permission. In our case, it is the document that appoints a company in a trading capacity to the Royal Household and gives them permission to display the Royal Arms. It is usually granted to companies supplying goods or services that allow the Royal Household to operate, but can also be granted to companies supplying items for personal use. So personal care products, as well as services such as hairdressing would be eligible.
