The Sabinsa Group has announced that it can now deliver Halal ingredients to be used in products for Muslims. A range of the company’s standard botanical extracts have been certified Halal by the Islamic Food and Nutrition council of America (IFANCA). Selected Sabinsa probiotics, enzymes and minerals were also deemed to meet Islamic dietary requirements.
“For many years now, we have been providing Kosher certification. The addition of Halal-certified products will not only allow us to enter different world markets but also to help our customers to meet certain regulatory requirements,” said Shaheen Majeed, Sabinsa’s director of marketing.
Certified products can be recognised by IFANCA’s ‘Crescent M Halal’ trademark, confirming that the product does not contain any haram (forbidden) or questionable ingredients.
