Sales at Interparfums boosted by designer brands
Montblanc, Jimmy Choo and Boucheron all contribute to 20.3% sales boost
The French group Interparfums SA boosted group sales by 20.3% to €327.8m in the first nine months of 2012 with third quarter growth of 8.6% to almost €119m. Montblanc perfume sales soared by 68%, Jimmy Choo products by 45% and Boucheron by 57% in the third quarter. Burberry perfumes expanded by over 10% in the first nine months. Lanvin sales rose by 13% led by the Jeanne Lanvin and Marry Me lines and the launch of Jeanne Lanvin Couture. Over the nine-month period Montblanc perfumes grew by 72% with the men's Legend line posting sales of €20m.
The North American region accounted for 24% of total sales and reported overall growth of 38% boosted by the superlative performances of Montblanc (up 380%) and Jimmy Choo (up 150%). Growth in the Middle East and eastern Europe combined was over 30%; Asia and Latin America 16% and 17% respectively. Western European sales inched up 6% in the nine-month period.
