Scenting a scandal
New fragrances offer alibis for cheats
An enterprising South African gentlemen’s club has launched a fragrance line based on the traditional excuses that cheating men invent to throw their partners off the scent.
The Alibi line, by Mavericks strip club in Cape Town, comprises three fragrances: My Car Broke Down, featuring notes of fuel, burnt rubber, grease and steel; We Were Out Sailing, which combines a fresh open spray scent, with sea salt, aqua and cotton rope; and I Was Working Late, featuring notes of coffee, wool suit, cigarettes and ink. The club hopes the fragrances, which cost £24 will generate interest, especially among men exiting the club.
