What is the role all about?
- Working at a senior level as an experienced Development Chemist, closely with the Commercial Team on NPD briefs taking from concept through to launch
- Development of products through the lab in all areas of personal care including: skincare, haircare bath and body and baby for a wide range of customers and standards
- Responsible for formulas through stability, micro and compatibility testing
- Coach Junior Chemist(s)
- Stay current with industry trends and new developments in the field of formulation chemistry.
- A key go-to technical expert for formulation issues!
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in formulation chemistry
- Knowledge of chemical principles, including organic and inorganic chemistry
- Excellent organisational and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Business savvy, confident and strong commercial awareness
- Excellent knowledge sharing and coaching skills
