Sonia Rykiel has teamed up with Selective Beauty to distribute its latest fragrance Belle en Rykiel, in an attempt to re-acquaint British consumers with the brand and create the same buzz in the UK that the brand enjoys across France.
Belle en Rykiel is a grown up scent, based on notes of lavender and incense at the behest of Nathalie Rykiel. The compostion is therefore unusual as it employs notes more commonly associated with men’s fragrance. The scent opens with mandarin, redcurrant and lavender flower, leading to middle notes of Peruvian heliotrope, coffee flower and frankincense accord drying down to a base of patchouli, amber, mahogany wood and vanilla.
The flacon is a perfect cube of heavy glass with a classical mirrored top which reflects the amber juice.
