Spa & Resort finds permanent place at NY Beauty Week

HBA global Events has announced that the Spa & Resort/Medical Aesthetics Conference and Expo will become a regular feature of its annual Beauty Week in New York. The events, which will take place at the Jacob K Javits Convention Centre from September 28, are designed to provide a 360-degree view of the entire product development cycle.

Both shows were co-located for the first time in 2009, a move that resulted in “increased traffic and new business opportunities”, according to Jill Birkett, brand director, Beauty & Wellness.

The Spa & Resort/Medical Aesthetics Conference and Expo, a two day event running from 28-29 September, is said to support the convergence of the traditional and medical segments of the spa and resort industry, and features services including skin care and rejuvenation, mineral make-up, tanning products, robes and linens, aromatherapy, injectables, nutricosmetics and spa apparel. “We look forward to enhancing the experience in 2010 and adding more educational content beneficial to plastic surgeons and dermatologists as well as spa owners and skin care professionals,” comments Birkett.
