Strengthen your skin barrier by maintaining skin hydration with Crodarom's Phytessence French Rose EC

CONTEXT
Fundamental pillar of our routine, hydration is the first beauty step to adopt in all seasons. In response to climate change and temperature variations, a new technique is emerging: the skin-flooding, which consists of layering moisturising cosmetics to lock in moisture and deeply hydrate the epidermis and for a long time. Hydrated skin is more supple and radiant, less prone to tightness and protected from cellular ageing. The hydrolipidic film composed of sebum strengthens the skin barrier and limits water loss. Its composition varies according to age, health status, seasons, and our environment. While often richer in sebum during adolescence, this film becomes less present and less effective as we age. It is therefore essential to regulate and balance it. Phytessence French Rose EC helps strengthen the skin barrier by maintaining skin hydration.

EFFICACY TESTS
Phytessence French Rose is an active ingredient with proven efficacy: moisturises skin and visually improves its quality, regulates sebocyte activity and protects lipid compounds from external aggression, protects skin from premature aging by reducing the expression of inflammatory mediators and the glycation phenomenon.

Test 1 in vivo: Skin hydration measured by MoistureMap
Evaluation of the moisturising effect of Phytessence French Rose EC on mature and dry skin (*p≤0.05; **p≤0.01).
Results: Phytessence French Rose EC cream statistically significantly hydrates the skin by 5%* compared to Placebo cream.

Test 2 in vitro: Regulation of sebocytes activity
Measurement of lipid synthesis in sebocytes (p≤0.01).
Results: PhytessenceTM French Rose EC decreases by 61% the lipid synthesis in sebocytes.

Test 3 in tubo: Reduction of UVA-induced lipid peroxidation
Measurement of UVA-induced lipoperoxidation of liposome phospholipids (p≤0.01).
Results: Phytessence French Rose EC reduces by 70% the UVA-induced lipoperoxidation of liposome phospholipids. Phytessence French Rose EC regulates the activity of sebocytes and protects lipid compounds from external aggressions. Its properties are ideal for maintaining skin homeostasis.

Test 4 in vitro: Diminution of the release of pro-inflammatory mediators
Evaluation of PGE2 and IL6 release in fibroblasts exposed to UVB (*p<0.01).
Results: PhytessenceTM French Rose EC decreases the synthesis of PGE2 by 50% and IL6 by 41% after UVB exposure.

Test 6 in tubo: Anti-glycation protection
Ability of PhytessenceTM French Rose EC at 3% to protect proteins from glycation measured by
spectrofluoroscopy (p≤0.01).
Results: PhytessenceTM French Rose EC at 3% decrease by 89% the phenomenon of glycation.
