Swallowfield expansion fuels revenue increase
Cosmetics, toiletries and household goods services provider Swallowfield plc has announced a revenue increase of 15.3% in the half year ended 9 January 2010.
Cosmetics, toiletries and household goods services provider Swallowfield plc has announced a revenue increase of 15.3% in the half year ended 9 January 2010. Swallowfield’s pre-tax profit amounted to £0.74m, up 26.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Ian Mackinnon, Swallowfield ceo, has attributed the company’s continued financial growth to its “broadening geographic footprint and product range” as well as “commitment to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and innovation”. Recent expansion has included growth at the company’s Czech factory and new business generated by its recently opened sales support office in France, in addition to the development of new markets in India and Europe, including the Netherlands.
Looking forward, Swallowfield plans to focus on improving operating margins by developing higher margin products and increasing operational efficiencies.
