Symrise has announced it will restart training perfumers as of 1 April 2007.
The program will start off with five students who have demonstrated their aptitude in a demanding selection process. The three-year course will involve studying aroma chemicals in depth as well as a learning how to develop perfume structures.
The Symrise Corporation was formed in 2002 by the merger of Dragoco and Haarmann & Reimer, both of which ran perfumery schools prior to the merger.
