The beauty industry is in the grips of a virtual takeover, as more brands dip their toes into the web3, the next generation of online connectivity, through metaverse launches and digital immersive stores.

The latest newcomer is Korean skin care brand Laneige, which unveiled its very first virtual store last month.

But how does it stack up when compared with the growing number of beauty brands that are launching their own immersive spaces?
