Margot Marrone, founder of The Organic Pharmacy, has teamed up with HRH the Prince of Wales to launch the brand new Organic Pharmacy Highgrove range – all proceeds from which go directly to his charitable foundation, The Prince’s Trust.
The Highgrove range, bearing the exclusive Prince of Wales feathers, comprises five products that contain ingredients sourced directly from the Highgrove gardens themselves. These include lavender, ginger and orange, which are then formulated by The Organic Pharmacy at its laboratory in Battersea.
The products include a bath oil, muscle balm, hand scrub, hand cream and a protective lotion. They are only available in the four Organic Pharmacy stores in London, at Highgrove House itself and at the newly-opened Highgrove shop in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
The prince, who has long been a supporter of organic produce, approached Margot directly and invited her down to Highgrove where they could explore the gardens and discuss the ways in which they could work together going forward.
Marrone says of the venture: “We are delighted to have been chosen for what we feel is the perfect partnership. Highgrove’s organic principles match our own perfectly and we were able to create a range of products that were not only organic but effective and inspired by the magnificent gardens at Highgrove.”
In other news, The Organic Pharmacy is launching a new London store in Canary Wharf by the end of this year, is currently looking for another UK site to open next year and is hoping to launch in Los Angeles by the end of 2009, in what will be its first store opening outside of the UK.
