Information shared on chemical toxicity


Cosmetics companies could benefit from the increased availability of data on the toxicity of chemicals following an agreement between the EU’s Joint Research Centre and the US National Centre for Computational Toxicology (NCCT).

They have promised to exchange research materials and assessments on chemical toxicity. The NCCT has generated toxicological profiles of hundreds of reference chemicals using screening assays.
