The Fragrance Foundation UK is to award Vivienne Westwood with a membership to the UK Circle of Champions, at a prestigious industry event at Claridges Hotel in London tomorrow night.

The Circle of Champions is an initiative set up by the US Fragrance Foundation to honour individuals who have made a notable and newsworthy contribution to the fragrance industry.

This is the second year that the award has been given to a UK recipient, following on from Paul Smith’s triumph previously. Westwood is said to have been selected because her scents are evocative of decades gone by and since the launch of her debut fragrance, Boudoir in 1998, Westwood has had continued international success with the fragrance side of her business.

In 2000, her Libertine scent was released, followed by Anglomania in 2004 and Boudoir Sin Garden and Let it rock in 2007.
