Dermatologist Zein Obagi has launched a range of products, which are claimed to contain 25 times the retinol concentration of department store skin care lines. ZO Skin Health comprises a five-step program, said to enables skin to nourish, repair and maintain itself.
Unusually, ZO Skin Health contains no moisturiser. “For years women have used moisturisers for a quick and inexpensive fix. They give skin a smooth and silky feeling, but with repeated use skin becomes addicted to them,” Dr Obagi explains. “Instead of allowing skin cells to function properly, the way nature intended they become lazy and slow down. Our skin then becomes sensitive and intolerant while the signs of ageing rapidly increase.”
